INTERACTIVE MAP

This map displays the movements of a selection of African women who trained as healthcare workers in Britain before the founding of the National Health Service in 1948. It allows you to visualise their extraordinary journeys and identify the places that they lived, trained, worked, and travelled during the early 20th century. After clicking the play button, an arrow on the right hand side of the map reveals a sidebar listing names and map points.
